Do you have any comments? The music you guys have put together, will always be something very special to hold dear in my heart. Hearing just the first few lyrics or cords of the songs, from any of the albums while listening to the radio, makes my heart skip a beat. This is because of one of those special, never to be forgotten, moments in a person's whole life was spent listening to the Kentucky Headhunters going down the road. Keep up the wonderful work! Always, Pam

If you can email me with your mailing address, I'll get one out to you. Would like to have you and the others join us on a song or two on the project if you are available. If you go into my website there are some photos of JJ in the studio working on the project and also some samples of 5 or 6 of the songs (www.butchwax.net). The CD is tentatively called "I'm Just Johnnie" and we hope to have it out in January. Your website is great and I really enjoyed the photos both old and new. Tell the boys I said Hi and hope to see you in St. Louis soon! Thanks. GENE

Do you have any comments? Hi Greg, I was checking your dates, and ran across this cool website! Next time you all are in MO, I will try harder to get to the show. I'm still stuck on "Too Much to Loose". I want to hear it live and loud enough to feel the vibration!! HEY, I want to tell you who I saw in Aug. Went to Tunica and saw Ronnies' Tribute to Elvis. Great show, of course. Now I'm caught up on old news, Steve's married. Ronnie's not, what a rush... Ronnie Dean married an angel, she is so sweet, and Tyler Dean, who was 2 years old the last time I saw him here in Branson, blew me away. That was one fun weekend. Now, Anthony is still with you right? I missed seeing him with Ronnie. Will you tell him hello from me. It sure would be nice to see you all in the same place again, this side of Heaven! I'm live music deprived !! I hope you and yours are all doing well. I just felt like writing this. actually I had to write it twice, I lost it somehow the first time. Take good care, Ruth, in Branson

Do you have any comments? I think Greg is a very underrated player with a very nice voice for the guitar. I like what he has to say. I never really got into the KY Headhunters though... I saw Greg on a Hot Licks video and that's what drew me to his playing. The fact that he uses a 58 Les Paul (my favorite guitar) didn't hurt either.

Went to the festival in Sulpher Well last weekend. Heard some homegrown music by David Frogget and his Ridgerunners. Thouroughly enjoyed myself. Could have sat there till daylight. Do you have any comments? Greg, I'm the guy from Michigan whom you helped get backstage to meet Long John Baldry, at the Chatham Ont. Festival of Nations. To be brutally honest, I'd only vaguely heard of the KHH before seeing you perform with them, and I wound up getting two of the albums on sale after being completely WOWED by your talent. I suppose that's the only way any musician can make a genuine impact on someone's life, and you certainly did that night (for the Baldry help just as much as for your magnificent performance). I'm also writing here to remind you of your offer to send me a copy of your radio show, when you do the interview with Long John Baldry. I collect radio programs (mostly in analog) and would be pleased and proud to include this in my collection. As far as radio show requests go? Try digging back into the Delaney and Bonnie Bramlett days on tour with Clapton, for Bonnie's tremendous performance in "Lay My Burden Down." Failing that, take a brief short step outside the hard-core blues area for the late great Johnny Adams in "I'll Never Make That Same Mistake Again." (I might have the exact title wrong, but it's close, and the lyrics are nothing short of shattering for anyone who considers Adams knew that LP would be his last; he died less than a year later.) Something for anyone to think about when they hit their late 40s or early 50s, as I have. (By the way---congratulations, Grandpa! Since I turn 54 this fall, may I be the first this month to tell you, SUPPORT GEEZER ROCK!) Keep on a-keepin' on. You earned yourself a new fan, and I try never to let down the people I truly like. Hope to see you again if you're ever up in this area. Kindest regards, Bob Proctor P.O. Box 893 Adrian, MI 49221 P.S.: This may be just my own web browser's gremlins at work here, but you might want to have someone check out the link to the news article about "The Lowdown Hoedown." I got six straight bounces which completely shut down my link to y

Do you have any comments? Greg: We all know your fondness for vintage 'burst Les Pauls, Did you ever run across any Black Les Paul Customs that you liked? I've had two, a '71 and a '72 (busted, I was a John Fogerty fan in my early youth... I'm 44 now) I guess that the Customs are a hair too bright sounding to get that Clapton "woman" sound from his Bluesbreakers-Cream era.I'm a Telecaster owner too, so maybe thats why I love Customs. Amps.... I wished I had the bread to buy a Marshall Plexi Stack... But most of the Church and Christian Coffee house gigs I played even an half stack would been too much. So I still play through my old faithful '76 Music Man 210-65. Still have the Stock speakers(re-conned once) in it. It's a shame that I can't get thoose big fat Sylvania 6CA7 (EL-34)'s almost Mullard's and didn't cost like Mullard's. A Phillips ECC-83 in the pre-amp and that little baby would rock! With my pedal set up of an MXR dyna-comp,a MXR Distortion+, a MXR Micro-amp,a Small Stone phaser and a Vox Cry-baby.The Music Man is a Master volume amp, so you could dail-up a Blackface Fender Pro-reverb or a aproximal Bluesbreakers sound. Its still a sweet little amp aside the replacement tubes issue, I guess I'll have use GrooveTubes and like it... Ever crossed paths with REZ-BAND (Resurrection Band) from Chicago? Back in '82 at the Myrtle Beach Sonfestival, I was working stagecrew when they played there. Their guitarists Glenn Kaiser and Stu Heiss are great players and Love The Lord too. Hey Greg, Thanks for your time to read this semi-rambling missive. And I'm glad to know that you didn't end up at the intersection of US HWY 61 and US HWY 49 lookin' to buy some guitar lessons.....

Hey! Greg,I saw your name mentioned @ a Phil Keaggy web sight. I appologize for not keeping in touch the last 30 years.(really I guess it was only twelve)I played guitar pretty good for about 6 months. Then I just burned up,I mean out. I still play but very little. I like to play praise music only, like Hillsongs, vineard, ect. That's the only thing that really matters is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and familys and Fender amps.(like a 6g6)

Greg, I don't know if you remember me but I am the guy that hangs out with that crazy Allison Gardner. I wish that you guys were playing closer to home this coming year (Louisville, BG, Glasgow area), I saw your schedule and it doesn't look like you are. If something changes and you do please e-mail Allison or myself and let us know. Look forward to hearing some more of those 'low down funky blues'. Tell Erik hi for us. Later, Alan Burd.

Pretty cool stuff. I searched for my own name on Yahoo, and this is what I found. Funny thing is, I play a lot of bass guitar and dabble with 6-string. Greg, if you ever need a good bassist to back you up and are looking for some subtle humor, let me know!

Dear Greg my name is Rose Diehl I have liver failure & was just diagnosed this year due to Hepatitis-C which I have had for several years. I met my husband Robert when we where 6 yrs. old we lived in the same sundivision . He even came to my 6th B-Day party and was a flirt with me then. But I had to moxe away for several years and didn't get to see him. I met my first husband we married and had a beautiful daughter when she was 9 mnths. old her father was killed. So after that by pure coincidence I ran into Robert again through a friend of mine. So we proceeded to become really good friends then we started dating for many years 11 to be exact before we wgere married 4 years ago. Robert knew I had Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fobromyalgia, and Hepatitis-C I started getting very sick about 4 years ago with all of the above and I worked for the phone Co. but they released me saying due to cutbachs. So this put somewhat a burden on us because then I had to pay around $450.00 for medicine and + Dr. visits & etc. medical bills I had to have 2 kneck surgeries so this just made work limited and even put us farther behind. During this time Robert was so supportive & helpful and gave up alot of things he enjoyed. Such as CD's, new clothes, shoes or anything else to make sure I had my Medicine's & med, Bills taken care of. He has been a self employeed Aluminum Contractor forl years and as you know it;s very hard to be your own secretary, salesman; nookeeper, and then do the job yourself. And eventually the later part of last year we finally lost our home & our 2 vehicles 1 which was very important for him to work. Then of all things we thought I might be pregnant which we had tried to have a baby for many years and thought this wish might be coming true but I got so sick for about 3 weeks I couldn;t even get out of the bed. Well on Sept,17th 2001 Robert rushed me to E-R they took test after getting there info & starting I"Vs then the Dr. came in and I ask him well is it good news or bad news. This is when he told me I had liver failure & if I wouldb;t have cane in before the next week I would more than liikely have died then. So they admitted me for 9 days then sent me home with med's & Dr.s appointments I couldn't afford but Robert spoke to the hospital and recieved some help to try to get these bills pd. Medicaid is still pending and my disability. We where so nroke we skipped getting anything for our Anniversary or Christmas other than each other & our Prayers And I feel really bad because Robert deserves some type of reward for being the best husband anyone could ask for. They are hoping to get me on the next liver transplant list available if so I could be ok with in a year. What a niracle because Robert has to get tired he works 12-14 hours per day, cooks, dors laundry, dresses me helps me in any way he can. And now he & a radio & tv station are working on a auction to try & help pay for my transplant,so alpt of the nusic & tv stars are donating different thibgs so if there is anytjing you could donate would be a nlessing, because I only have a year to recieve the transplant or else die we'll except anything a okd pot holder even sldo anything yo show it was tours. And if there is abything we can do to help You and your Family please ket us know. Because these transplants are very expensive & the sooner I get on the list the better chance of living I have. Thank you for taking the time to read this but this is really important to me.But the reason I"m writing you today is not for myself but to ask your help to do something nice for Robert. Anything you could do would be deeply appreciated. Sending him a T-Shirt size X-Large , Cd's etc.. While he is at work in & out of his truck all day he loves to listen to your music. Could you please help me" Thank You Again! Rose Diehl, 6509 NE30th Terr. Gainesville, Fl 32653, 352-384-1835 E-Mail agatordog@aol.com

I stumbled across this site by accident.I was so impressed by all the nice letters. It's so nice to know that such nice religous folks still exist. After suffering for 4 years, my father recently passed away, Dec, 8/2001. After asking for what seemed like years,(by my mother)I actually snuk and suprised her by showing up to perform silent night at our church. I had'nt been there in a while, and it made me feel good , as the people there were so nice and appreciative.I just wanted to say, that not everyone gets as nice of letters from such nice people as yourself. You truely are blessed.Great website!

This is for all of the Kentucky Headhunters: Just wanted you guys to know that your new album, "songs from the grass string ranch" is absolutely the best! Every song on there should be classified as a hit! It's a great combination of country, ballads & a little cajun spice!! I would like to tell people to go out & purchase this CD if you haven't already! You really don't know what you are missing. This should be in several categories for the Country Music Awards. It is so worthy of many awards, there should even be grammy's in your future. Music world, please pay great attention to this album. "This is indeed the Kentucky Headhunters finest work!!"

Nice site Greg love the pictures. Some of the greats on there. Bougth the newest HH album and got to say I love it. The again I have always love the HH and am very proud that you put the KY part in the name. Being from SE KY (Corbin to be exact), it always brings me back home when I hear your great blues riffs, Fred's druming, Richard Riffs as well as the others. Nice to see that Doug came back. Been trying to learn your licks from Lousianna CoCo, but not being to coordianted in may take awhile, Will have fun none the less. Hoping to see you all up in Hershey park next month and to take my daughters. If you are traveling either yoursefl, the band, the family or what ever and want to get some home cooking when you are near WV, drop a line and we will give you directions. My wife of 23 (also a Kentuckian) make some of the best bisquit and gravy if you are looking for breakfast. We are in the Northern Part right next to MD off of I-81. Got a big old Orange OR-120 Amp and 4 X 12, would even let you show how me it should sound. If Fred is with you he can show my 9 year old how to beat her drums (she just starting but has a nice set of Pearls. Best to you, your family and the band and may God keep you al save on your travels and daily routine. Serious about the breakfast (or Dinner/Lunch) if you all are traveling this way going somewhere up I-81, we could feed the whole crew (roadies, techs, driver, family, band) if given a little notice. See you at Hershey I hope.

Greg, As a girl who grew up across the street from Jon McGee, it seems like I should have met you somewhere along the way. I've seen you around town all of my life, but never thought it would be appropriate to interrupt your day by introducing myself. In any case, I must tell you that I am so impressed by your ability as a musician, and think you should know how important your presence is in our small community! However, I was more deeply touched by seeing you and your wife having dinner with your son and his Senior prom date. (What a beauty!!!) He is truly a testimony to the kind of family you've provided him! May God bless you all today and always! P.S. Any advice for an "aspiring" female vocalist? Kristen

Dear Mr, My name is Sergio Almeida and I’m the contributor of the Brazilian magazine Rock Brigade here in the Republic of Ireland. Rock Brigade is a 15 years old publication with 62000 copies sold in a monthly bases. Our mission is to promote rock music as a whole all around Brazil. The blues scene in Brazil is quite popular. Most of the bigest artists have visited our country. Some examples are Eric Clapton, BB King, Otis Rush, John Mayall, Buddy Guy, Charlie Musselwhite, Albert King and so on. The reason of this letter is that I saw the reviews of some of Steve White's actings while surfing in the web and I became really interested in covering your releases. We have special sessions for the up coming blues albuns, called New Old Blues, and I think the Brazilians readers can get really interested in your music. I would appreciate if you could send me the usual promo package, with a copy of the album(s), a bio and pictures if possible. In case you want to check the last issue of Rock Brigade, our web site address is rockbrigade.com.br. I hope you enjoy it. Waiting to hear form you. Best Regards, Sergio Almeida My address is: SERGIO ALMEIDA PO BOX 7854 DUBLIN 1 IRELAND

I am still booking the Park series concerts for Middletown and I have been trying to get to the Headhunters and see if we can afford you. The concerts are in the summer and I have a couple of dates open and would sure like to see you and the other boys again. I have had Ronnie McDowell do this series a couple of times in the past three years. The concert is a free concert for the people of Middletown and we use sponsers and grants to pay the entertainment. This year I have a few dollars more in the budget than in the past. E-mail me and I will get the person that I need to talk to from you in regards to this. Thanks: Delbert

greg: i just thought you would like to know that the benefit concert for blake here in campbellsville brought in over $800.00. i am very glad that it turned out like this. i arranged for blake and his family to be brought to the areana in a stretch limo. man you talking about arriving in stile. all bands did a excellent job. i had to make a speach and had a hard time getting the words out. it really broke my heart to see him in that shape. blake couldnt stay but about 10 minutes. the treatments are really taking a toll on him. thanks for everything you did to help me. jamie thompson from the big daeg mc the show. he did a knock out job. i gave him a award for his services. he is really a great guy. now if i can only get my arm back to where it was i would be ok. but they are saying that the way it looks now i might be loseing the complete control of the arm. i have already came up with a way to still play my bass with a bungie strap hooked on my strap. well got to go now.again thanks for everything. lanny forbis

I had the California Blues Newsletter called "Stricly Nothing But The Blues" back in the 80's. Well, the publication is gone now, but something better has replaced it. I am back out playing blues guitar again. I've got a new CD of blues from a composite of 30 years of San Diego, CA blues bands I've been in. If interested for air play, please let me know. My new band, "Moon Dance" does blues, oldies, R&B and cross-over country-rock. The band has a CD too. Let me know about either or both CD's. Everyone has been so good about giving us Net Radio air time, we are extremely grateful. The Blues CD has a broad range of blues styles, and differring artists. If you know of other blues radios, please let me know. I Thank you for your time. http://mikedollins.homestead.com/MikeDollins.html Blues CD = Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something BLUE. Band CD = Moon Dance
